Novena to St. Carlo Acutis

Novena to St. Carlo Acutis

St. Carlo Acutis showed the world that holiness is possible at any age. Although he lived only fifteen years, his deep love for Jesus in the Eucharist, his devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and his desire to help others continue to inspire Catholics around the world.

The Novena to St. Carlo Acutis is a beautiful nine-day prayer that asks for his intercession while encouraging us to follow his example of faith, charity, and trust in God. Whether you're praying for a young person, growing closer to Jesus in the Eucharist, or seeking guidance in your own faith journey, this novena invites you to place your intentions before God through St. Carlo's prayers.

Who Was St. Carlo Acutis?

St. Carlo Acutis was born in London in 1991 and raised in Milan, Italy. From a young age, he developed a deep love for Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary. After receiving his First Holy Communion at the age of seven, he attended Mass frequently, prayed the Rosary every day, and spent time in Eucharistic Adoration whenever he could.

Carlo had a gift for computers and used his talents to evangelize. He created a website documenting Eucharistic miracles from around the world, helping many people discover the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. Because of this, he is often associated with the internet and modern technology, but Carlo always reminded others that technology should lead us to God—not distract us from Him.

One of his best-known quotes is: "The Eucharist is my highway to Heaven."

Carlo died of leukemia in 2006 at the age of fifteen, offering his suffering for the Church and the Pope. In 2025, he was canonized, becoming the Catholic Church's first millennial saint. His feast day is celebrated on October 12.

Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I thank you for all the grace and favours with which you enriched the soul of St Carlo Acutis during his fifteen years on this earth. Through the merits of this Angel of Youth, grant me the grace which I earnestly seek (mention request here). Amen.

Daily Prayer

St Carlo, you made the Holy Eucharist the focus of your life and devoted yourself to God in our modern times. You engaged in the world but did not attach yourself to it.
